Open Clasp are part of the 2010 Small Charity Car Draw. It’s a lottery for supporters of small charities (and the public) to buy tickets to support their cause with the chance to win a funky MINI First.

Open Clasp is using the draw to raise funds to support our work in the North East. The proceeds of the Draw will be used to support our current projects, helping give voice to women of all ages in our region.

Each ticket costs £2 and 95.2% of that is for our charity – so if we sell 100 tickets that’s £190.40 you’ve helped us raise. £190.40 means that Open Clasp can reach more communities, raising awareness of issues that impact on women's everyday lives.

You can buy tickets online, through our charity page on the FSI website at http://www.thefsi.org/fsi/charityprofile/open-clasp-theatre-company. Please pass on the link!

Internet Giving

You can raise funds for Open Clasp without spending a penny. Everyclick is a search engine and online shopping portal which gives a donation to charity every time you search or shop. Why not set it as your home page so all your searching benefits Open Clasp?

"If 50 people signed up and used Everyclick for a year
Open Clasp could perform to a community group free of charge"

If you use eBay why not raise funds for Open Clasp at the same time? Now you can sell an item on eBay and donate from 10% to 100% of the final sale price to help us reach even more women and young women. Click here for more details. If you're buying from eBay look out for listings with the charity ribbon.

If you have any unwanted items that are too good to go to landfill, now you can use them to raise funds for Open Clasp. JumbleAID lets individuals and businesses post unwanted stuff online and anyone can pledge a donation for an item. It’s FREE, easy to use, and it’s good for the environment too!

Hidden in many investment, pension and insurance policies are charges that can be claimed by an adviser. Join thousands of people who've discovered how Cleversquirrel can get you money back for free. Then do something clever and give some or all of it to Open Clasp. Find out how it works at www.cleversquirrel.com/moneyback.

Open Clasp give help and support in a way
no one else does. Their work has been
very important to many people.
I have benefited through the workshops
by talking about things most people
don’t mention. The plays have also helped
me by hearing taboo subjects discussed
openly on stage. This gives others knowledge

to speak the unspeakable.'

Leaving a Gift to Open Clasp

By making a Will you can guarantee that your family, friends and anyone else you want to remember are taken care of.

If you are making a Will please consider leaving a legacy to Open Clasp. A gift of any size can help us make women's voices heard in the North East and raise awareness on the issues that affect women's lives.

If you already have a Will and would like to add a gift to Open Clasp this can be done via a codicil. This is a separate document that you can add to your existing Will.

Making a gift to a charity in your will can also help to reduce or eliminate the inheritance tax burden on any property you would leave to family or friends in the event of your death.

For more information on how to create or update a Will, including suggested wording for a legacy to Open Clasp, click here. If you'd like to discuss supporting Open Clasp through your Will call the office on 0191 230 1698 and speak to Roma.
