RTYDS Assistant to the Director announced

We have been successful in our proposal to the Regional Theatre Young Director’s Scheme to bring in a young woman, Emily Harrison, as Assistant to the Director on Sugar and also additional short-term projects including our Rattle Snake R&D in December. Emily is from South Shields and was recommended to us by Gateshead College. We’re really pleased to have this opportunity to support a young local director at the start of her career.

It's such a privilege to be able to work with such positive and dedicated women, on not one, but two very emotive and important plays that tackle very real and poignant issues. I am exited to learn and try new directing methods and techniques from such a talented team, and hope this enables me to become a potent force in the fight for empowerment and equality for all women, through such a powerful and touching medium - Emily Harrison
